Keeping you up-to-date on all the scouting events that pertain to Cub Pack 51.

All meetings are held at the Fairfield Christian Church, North Campus
3420 Blacklick-Eastern Rd, Baltimore, OH.

pinewood derby
One of the favorite events of the year is the annual Pinewood Derby Race. The scouts create a derby car to race against his friends. Traditionally held in January, the Pinewood Derby is a highlight for the scouts and their families.


Upcoming events


December 22nd Tuesday: 6:30pm Pack Meeting: Awards, Skits/Songs, Popcorn BLITZ prizes, “Parent-Scout Bake Off”: Join the fun by creating a dessert for the evening with your scout. There will be judging for the: Best Holiday Theme, Best Scout Theme and Silliest/Wackiest. Please remember : WE ARE NUT AND PEANUT FREE (NO NUTS!!) (returning scouts, this is similar to what we have done at the Blue and Gold in years past, but without the tasting)

December 28th Monday: Chiller Night 5:00pm-8:00pm FREE (see information in “winter activities” box below)

Winter Break: Dec.24, 2009- Jan 1, 2010 Happy New Year!!

January 7th Thursday: 7-8pm Committee Meeting Pickerington Library Study Rooms: We are planning for the Pinewood Derby Races and the Blue and Gold Banquet. If you are able to help, please consider attending this meeting to assist in the preparations.

January 12th Tuesday: 7pm Den Meeting (Webelos meet at 6:30)

January 23rd Saturday: University of Scouting 8:30AM – 4:30PM Reynoldsburg HS (Recommended for ALL Leaders and Committee Members, Registration required. Please see Cubmaster Ross for more information)

January 26th Tuesday: 7pm Den Meeting (Webelos meet at 6:30)

January 30th Saturday PINEWOOD DERBY 12:00-5pm (including set up and tear down) Registration begins at 12:30 and Races begin at 1:30pm. All cub scouts receive a Pinewood Derby Car Kit to turn into a racing machine!! We will also have additional races for any siblings and adults that want to take part in the fun!! (we will need many volunteers to help with this event: watch for sign up sheets!)

February 4th Thursday: 7-8pm Committee Meeting Pickerington Library Study Rooms

February 6th SATURDAY: Food Drive (details to follow)

February 9th Tuesday: 7pm Den Meeting (Webelos meet at 6:30)

February 16th Tuesday: 7pm Den Meeting (Webelos meet at 6:30)

February 27th Saturday: BLUE AND GOLD BANQUET: 12-4pm (including set up and tear down) A special luncheon, awards celebration, and cross over for Webelo II to the Boy Scouts. Lunch will be served at 12:45 and is $4.00/person.
